Managing your account

Where to change your profile, your settings, and your security, and how to step away if you need to.

Your profile

Your public profile is separate from your private settings.

  1. Open your avatar menu and choose Edit profile.
  2. Update your picture, bio, location, website, and profile theme.
  3. Save.

Changing your username is an artbase Pro feature, limited to once a month.

Settings

Everything below lives on the Settings page.

Content preferences

  • Hide AI-generated artwork keeps AI-assisted work out of your feeds.
  • Mature / adult artwork sets how mature work appears to you: Blur (the default), Hide from feeds, or Show. If you're under 18, mature work is always hidden.

Change your password

Enter your current password and a new one. If you've forgotten it, use Forgot password? on the login page instead. Changing your password signs you out on your other devices.

Two-factor authentication

Add a second step at login with an authenticator app.

  1. Choose Set up authenticator app and scan the QR code with your app.
  2. Enter the 6-digit code to turn it on.
  3. Save your backup codes somewhere safe. They're your way in if you lose your phone.

Turning two-factor off asks for your password.

Notifications

New follows, likes, comments, and other activity show up in your Notifications inbox, reached from the bell. It's a running list, not something you configure.

Billing and Pro

If you subscribe to artbase Pro, manage it from the Billing page: switch between monthly and yearly, update your payment method, or cancel. Payment runs through Stripe, so changes to your card happen in the Stripe portal. artbase never stores your card details.

Changing your email

Email changes aren't self-service yet. If you need to change the address on your account, email support@artbase.au.

Deactivating your account

caution

Deactivating hides your profile and your work and signs you out everywhere. If the account stays deactivated for six months, it and your content are permanently removed.

  1. Go to Settings, then Deactivate account.
  2. Type your username to confirm.
  3. Choose Deactivate my account.

Changed your mind within the six months? Email support@artbase.au and we can help restore it.
